RJ Corman Railroad Group
Richard J. Corman was a native of Nicholasville, Kentucky. He purchased his first 20-mile short line in Bardstown, KY in 1987. Within 20 years, he developed several companies into what is today one of the nation’s leading railroad service providers. Headquartered in Nicholasville, Kentucky, there are divisions of R.J. Corman companies in 23 other states employing approximately 1,200 people. By the time of Corman’s passing in August 2013, R. J. Corman Railroad Group was operating over 800 miles of track.
